Outdoor Movie Night
What: Perfect for older kids, teens, and adults who want to shake up their usual routine… Mythology Distillery invites your family to enjoy live music followed by a classic 80s movie, The Goonies, displayed on a 24 foot screen under the stars in the distillery’s Whiskey Garden. Fill up on tamales, tacos, soup dumplings, and delicious satay. Don’t forget to bring a blanket to stay warm as the evening cools.

Stories in the Garden
What: Every Friday during the summer, a storyteller from the Bud Werner Memorial Library will read wonderful garden-themed stories, followed by engaging hands-on activities at the children’s area in Yampa River Botanic Park. This event is perfect for children ages 0-7, along with their parents or caregivers. Participation is free, but space is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cornhole Sundays
What: Snow Bowl might be known for its exciting bowling facilities and dog-friendly events, but this summer is all about cornhole! Teams of two, of all ages, are welcome to compete in this classic outdoor game.

BBQ Picnics and Live Music
What: Saturdays in Steamboat Springs are made for burgers on the grill! Head to Snow Bowl every Saturday this summer for live music and all day BBQ picnics with your family.

When: Every Saturday during the summer from June 8th, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Kids Disco
What: Families of all ages are invited to enjoy a morning of bubbles, face-painting, and non-stop dancing. Grown-ups can grab a cup of joe, served by Seed House Coffee. Put on your glad-rags and join in the fun!

Pioneer Days
What: Join the Tread of Pioneers Museum team at the historic Mesa School for an afternoon packed with pioneer activities for kids over five years old. You and your little ones will get to experience life as a pioneer from within a turn-of-the-century one-room schoolhouse. It’s the closest thing to a time machine you’ll experience this summer! Reservations are required.

Yampa River Walk
What: Gather your family for a gentle one mile walk along the Yampa River Core Trail guided by an expert Naturalist from Yampatika. Enjoy vibrant wildflowers, luscious trees, remarkable birds, and diverse wildlife.

When: Weekly on Tuesdays, June 18th – August 27th 2024, meet at 8:45 a.m. the walk will conclude at 10 a.m.
Fairy Garden House Contest
What: All little fairies and elves are invited to the Yampa River Botanic Park’s annual Fairy Garden House in the Children’s Garden. Kids can build their own fairy garden houses and enter them into the contest for a chance to win exciting prizes. The fairy houses will be showcased in the Fairy Garden Village all summer long.

Flip Flop Fete
What: Pack your family’s swimsuits and head on down to Old Town Hot Springs for the fifth annual Flip Flop Fete. Nothing says ‘summer’ quite like spending an evening with your loved ones enjoying live entertainment, delicious food, and raising money for a good cause. Funds raised will be put towards ‘It’s in the Water’, a capital campaign to raise $10 million for the reconstruction and improvement of the lap pool and kiddie play area.

Olympic Heritage Tour
What: If Steamboat’s reputation as ‘the land of 100 Olympians’ has captured the imagination of your kids, then this heritage tour with Olympian Ben Berend is perfect for your family. This free tour through Steamboat Springs will reveal the tale of the town’s remarkable Olympic legacy and Berend’s personal athletic journey.

What: The iconic FM Light & Sons presents The Main Street Steamboat Farmers Market.
