Steamboat's Stunning Transformation
Alterra Mountain Co., the owner of Steamboat Ski Resort, is in the final phase of an unprecedented $220 million improvement project on and around the mountain.
New additions, including the fastest 10-person gondola in North America, a dedicated area for beginner skiers, and 650 additional acres of advanced ski terrain, have paved the way for an appealing lack of congestion and crowds for decades to come. With these enhancements, Steamboat is poised to be one of the world’s most highly coveted ski destinations.

Mount Werner is where we live, work, and play, so our appreciation and respect for it run deep. Protecting the health of our mountain and surrounding environment is carefully considered whenever possible.
We use lush landscaping and native tree planting to enhance the natural beauty and resilience of our area. And inside our buildings, handmade furniture and décor are ethically sourced from artisans who are paid fair, livable wages.
