Y.E.S Golf Tournament

What: The 35th Annual Y.E.S. Golf Tournament, organized by the Young Professionals Network and Steamboat Springs Chamber, raises $10,000 in scholarships for Routt County high school seniors and Colorado Mountain College students. Held at Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club, this mixed scramble event kicks off the summer golf season in the Yampa Valley.

Steamboat Springs Farmers Market

What: The Main Street Steamboat Farmers Market, presented by FM Light & Sons, runs every Saturday from June 8 to September 21, 2024, on Yampa Street. Open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., it features 150 vendors offering fresh produce, meats, seafood, specialty foods, and artisan products, creating a vibrant community gathering.

Colorado New Play Festival

What: The Colorado New Play Festival in Steamboat Springs is a prestigious event dedicated to developing new American plays. Featuring works from notable theater companies like Seattle Rep, Northlight Theatre, En Garde Arts, and The Old Globe, the festival invites over 30 artists for intensive rehearsals and public readings, showcasing innovative and compelling new plays.

Steamboat Free Summer Concerts

What: The Steamboat Springs Free Summer Concert Series, started in 1993 by a local record shop owner, features five annual concerts with nationally recognized artists in genres like pop-rock, reggae, bluegrass, blues, and funk. Attracting 3,500 to 7,000 attendees per concert, this series is a signature family-friendly event for locals and visitors alike.

Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo

What: The Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series, a key part of Steamboat’s heritage, features a dazzling display of rodeo competitions every Friday and Saturday from mid-June to mid-August. Held at the Brent Romick Rodeo Arena, events include bull riding, team roping, and barrel racing, celebrating the town’s deep-rooted cowboy culture and ranching traditions.

When: Every Friday and Saturday June 21 – August 24, 2024, as well as July 3 and 4, 2024


Steamboat Springs Artwalk

What: The Steamboat Springs Artwalk is a free, self-guided tour of local art galleries, museums, and alternative venues in downtown Steamboat Springs. Held on the first Friday of each month from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., it features changing exhibits, refreshments, and diverse artworks, attracting both locals and visitors.

When: First Friday of the month all summer (June 7, July 5, August 2, September 6, 2024)


Fourth of July Celebrations

What: Steamboat Springs’ Fourth of July celebrations this year are themed “Our Western Heritage – Homegrown Heroes”. The celebrations feature a hometown parade, the largest Pro Rodeo event of the summer, and family-friendly activities. Events include summer ski jumping, a delicious pancake breakfast, and Nordic combined competitions.

Art in the Park

What: Art in the Park is one of Northwest Colorado’s largest arts festivals. This free, family-friendly event features over 130 artists, live entertainment, food vendors, a beer tent, interactive creative stations, and a children’s area, making it Steamboat’s most colorful weekend tradition.

Steamboat Summer Balloon Festival

Emerald Mountain Epic

What: The Emerald Mountain Epic, presented by Hard Headed, is a premier singletrack race in Steamboat Springs. Inspired by the rugged trails on the legendary Emerald Mountain, the event features challenging mountain bike and trail running races with significant elevation gains. Limited to 500 racers per day, the event promotes safety, fun, camaraderie, and community.

What: Steamboat OktoberWest celebrates summer’s end with beer, biking, and Western fun. The 14th annual event features a Friday Beer Stroll downtown and a Saturday Beer Garden at Steamboat Resort Base Area with 30 Rocky Mountain brewers, live music, food, and festivities.
