Family Friendly Opera Event
What: Colorado Mountain College presents ‘Brundibár’, a charming tale which tells the story of two children whose plan to help their sick mother pits them against an evil organ-grinder. This remarkable performance features a rousing musical score by Hans Krása, and is suitable for older children with their families.
Where: The Allbright Auditorium at Colorado Mountain College
When: March 16, 2024 6p.m. – 7p.m. and Sunday March 17, 2024 10a.m. – 11:45a.m.
Price: $15 per adult, children under 12 are free
Youth Storytelling Slam Event
What: Professional actors will be performing the creative works of local youth. This event is the culmination of an 8-week after-school creative writing program, the only after school writing program for our Yampa Valley young creatives.

When: March 14th at 6p.m.

Steamboat Baby Group Event
What: A friendly education and networking group for parents/caregivers and their child aged newborn to 12 months.
Where: Discovery Learning Center
When: Every Tuesday at 11a.m. – 12:30p.m. from March through July

STARS Mountain Challenge Event
What: The STARS Mountain Challenge is a community celebration to raise funds to allow the incredible non-profit, Steamboat STARS, to offer life-changing programs that promote independence, self-esteem, and a healthy lifestyle for people with disabilities. Team up with your family to complete a number of challenges on the mountain, and earn points along the way!
Where: STARS Ranch and STARS Basecamp Office
When: Welcome party on Friday March 8 at 5:30p.m. at the STARS Ranch. The challenge begins on Saturday March 9 at 7:20.a.m. at the STARS Basecamp Office, followed by an awards ceremony at 2p.m. at Gravity Haus.
Price: Tickets start at $45.00 for the mini challenge, and $80.00 for the full mountain challenge. You’ll also need to purchase a lift ticket to participate.
Family-Friendly Music Concerts
What: Families across Colorado are excited for the 2024 Bud Light Rocks the Boat free concerts series, which will see a range of lively musicians performing unforgettable shows completely for free! Not only can your family enjoy music, but also the broad range of amenities available at Steamboat Square.

Art Event at Steamboat Art Museum
What: You and your kids can try your hand at a new artistic technique at this “Try Me Day” at the remarkable Steamboat Art museum. This museum is a favorite among families for it’s interactive events and child-friendly art exhibits.

Wild West Event at Steamboat Art Museum
What: Join the staff and guest educators from Yampatika to discover animal facts about the Wild West Exhibit, at the Family Night at The Museum event. You and your kids can enjoy hands-on art projects, explore wildlife education and games, and enter to win prizes.

What: Steamboat Christian Centre is hosting a family-friendly Easter Extravaganza, including a giant egg hunt with 20,000 Easter eggs, big prizes, face painting, and some surprises!
