Taking place every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. until September 21, 2024, the Farmers Market is the place where the locals go to get all their fresh produce. Featuring over 150 vendors, this is the ultimate place to find the ingredients needed to make a gourmet meal for your family.
Take a stroll down Yampa Street and browse the heavenly scented stalls, as you gaze out across the Yampa River. Local artisans are selling their creations, food demos are taking place, and kids are smiling at the crafts they made. This is truly a family-friendly event with something for everyone. This annual event is a must-attend event for anyone with a refined palate and an interest in culinary creations.
This event is designed to “Satisfy a Mountain of Appetites” and is bound to check every box on your must-try list of dishes. 42 local restaurants will be creating specials and select menus for this event to give you a taste of all their finest offerings.
From a breakfast of their famous eggs benedict at Creekside Grill and Cafe to a mouth-watering, Colorado lamb chop dinner at the culinary sensation Aurum Food & Wine you’re going to be satisfied beyond words at the end of your stay.

Steamboat Springs Chili Challenge
On Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., join the Steamboat community on Yampa Street across from the sparkling Yampa River for the 19th Annual Chili Challenge.
This is an event like no other for the chili aficionados in your family! Taste the best chili recipes in town and even the best cornbread. Awards are given out for best red and green chili, best salsa, and best cornbread – there will be no shortage of delicious food during the event locals look forward to all year!
Enjoy the hearty chili to your heart’s content, vote on your favorite, participate in the Cow Pie Plop game, and then join the HoeDown. Admission is free but you can purchase an adult tasting kit for $15 and a kid’s tasting kit for $10.
Steamboat Food and Wine Festival
The culinary event of the season! The Steamboat Food and Wine Festival puts you in the best seat in the house to watch the best chefs and renowned winemakers join forces to create some of the most unique and tantalizing dishes you’ve ever seen.
From field to fork, and vine to glass, you’ll hear the individual stories that go into each ingredient, how that affects its flavor, and how the chef and winemakers use it to its full potential.
