Hole Shot Cross Tour
Watch as some of the best young snowboarders in the world compete in this event designed to bridge the gap between grassroots and World Cup levels for Snowboard Cross and Ski Cross.

Steamboat Winter Carnival
Join the community of Steamboat Springs at the 112th Annual Winter Carnival. This iconic event showcases some of the best and most unique, ski activities in the world.
Take part in family activities during the Street Events, including the fan-favorite: the opportunity to be pulled behind a horse on skis! The famed Night Extravaganza features expertly skilled ski jumpers and the spectacular Lighted Man – a thrilling display of pyrotechnics from a specially designed suit, worn as he skis down Howelsen Hill.

Rivian: The Snow Mode Experience
Experience winter driving like never before in a test drive of the all-electric Rivian trucks and SUVs at Steamboat Resort for a limited time.
Rivian is a California company that builds technology-led vehicles comprised of eco-friendly materials. They are committed to net zero emissions and ensure everything they do works toward preserving the natural world for generations to come.

Sunset Happy Hour
This February event in Steamboat Springs is a beloved aprés-ski tradition! Take the stunning ride on the Steamboat Gondola to the iconic Thunderhead Lodge to watch the sunset over the Rockies.
Enjoy culinary bites, hand-crafted cocktails, local beer, and live music that rotates weekly. This experience is one the whole family will love and is a great way to unwind at the end of an epic day on the mountain.
This event is free for all Pass Holders and $30 for non-pass holders.

Light Up The Night Celebration
Explore the quaint Mountain Village of Steamboat Resort beneath the magical glow of 4 magnificent hot air balloons.
Stroll the grounds and then watch as fireworks light up the sky and a torchlight parade works its way through the village. Enjoy delectable food and drinks from nearby restaurants, Torch & Timber, and The Range Food & Drink Hall, as you gaze over the sights while keeping warm by their cozy firepits.
Finish off your night with some enchanting night skiing or take a spin around Skeeter’s Ice Rink.

Meet Smokey Bear
Join Smokey Bear during a special edition of Yampatika’s “Ski with a Naturalist” program. Learn about wildfire prevention, forest protection, and local wildlife including Elk and Moose.
This free program meets at the top of the Steamboat Gondola and will enjoy the scenic green run down the Why Not trail. Combining education and outdoor activity makes Yampatika the perfect addition to your day at Steamboat Resort. You can participate in their program every Tuesday and Thursday at 1:30 p.m. until March 20, 2025.

Para Snowboard World Cup
Join the community and watch the amazing athletes competing in 3 NorAm Cup races and the U.S. Para Snowboard Championship. There will be men’s and women’s races taking place during the event.

WinterWonderGrass Festival
Have you ever experienced the rush of live music, the vibrations strumming through your chest, all while bundled up against the cold as snow gently falls? It’s as if you’re immersed in a sparkling snow globe as the stage lights reflect off the crisp, white flakes.
That’s exactly what WinterWonderGrass is like—a 3-day music festival featuring a jam-packed lineup of over 25 bluegrass and roots artists, such as the Kitchen Dwellers and Leftover Salmon. The festival experience is complete with numerous delicious food trucks, The Coffee Depot serving hot beverages, and 3 heated tents with full bars and large stages where you can warm up and enjoy daily tastings of local craft beer, cider, seltzer, and wine.
You can elevate your time at WinterWonderGrass by purchasing additional tickets to Grass After Dark. These events begin after the festival is over for the day and keep the magic going into the night. Head to the Grand Hotel Ballroom or Thunderhead Lodge for a special nightcap of live music to finish your day on a high note.
We love this festival and the firm stand they take on sustainability. Reusable cups are provided upon entry and all ticket holders are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottles, utensils, napkins, and plates.
WinterWonderGrass also has a private kickoff dinner on Thursday night, free shows over the weekend, and a Town Hall Kids Zone. You can purchase your tickets here.
