Start the New Year off on the Right Ski With these January Events in Steamboat Springs
The weather has been more than cooperative this season, with over 40” of fresh Champagne PowderⓇ snow coming down in one week! It’s a skier’s dream at Steamboat Resort and the lifts are running daily to ensure everyone has ample opportunities to experience the indescribable joy of soaring down Mt Werner.
The 2025 ski season in Steamboat Springs is full of events to make the most of this beloved time. But, it’s also a time when the mountain can be both beautiful and dangerous. January is National Snow Sports Safety Month to promote skier and rider responsibility and mountain safety.
Steamboat Resort takes this very seriously and provides education and courses to keep everyone safe. Throughout January, the Ski Patrol is hosting various free events to raise awareness and increase participants’ knowledge regarding snow safety.
As a family, we love spending time on the mountain and teaching our children how to ski and snowboard. We also know how important it is to be smart when dealing with Mother Nature. We encourage everyone to take the appropriate precautions and plan your trips accordingly.
