An annual Steamboat Tradition, Holidays in the Rockies marks the beginning of the holiday season! Take a trip downtown to the historic Depot Art Center where local artisans come together at this holiday market to showcase a variety of fine arts and crafts, including artisan jewelry, organic body products, gourmet food, clothing, and more- all made by hand.

Holiday Skate Party

All people of all ages are invited to join the people of Steamboat for a festive Holiday Skate Party at Skeeter’s Rink, located right at the base of the resort. There’s nothing more magical than skating beneath the stars, surrounded by magnificent snow-capped mountains, watching glistening Christmas lights, and listening to the excited buzz of families enjoying the holiday season.

A musical experience like no other – The Queen’s Cartoonists’ festive performances are perfectly synchronized to the films projected on stage. The band matches the energy of the cartoons, leading the audience through a world of virtuosic musicianship, multi-instrumental mayhem, and comedy!

Santa Saddles Up

Steamboat is excited to bring back the enchanting family tradition of the Santa Horseback Procession, ‘Santa Saddles Up’. Santa will ride into the resort from the Torian Plum Area right down the slopes into the heart of Steamboat Square escorted by legendary locals Bob Dapper and Dean Vogelaar. Immediately following the ride Santa will be available on the Steamboat Stage to visit with guests and take pictures!


Steamboat Holiday Market Day

Join Steamboat locals to begin a new holiday tradition at the base of the Steamboat Ski Resort. You’re invited to the inaugural Steamboat Holiday Market! This is the perfect opportunity to check off your holiday shopping list, as local businesses gather together to offer up their unique creations.


Youth Holiday Tennis Camp at Steamboat Tennis & Pickleball

4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

In the slump between Christmas and New Year, keep the holiday spirit going for your kids by signing them up to two days of tennis fun at Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball! This exclusive tennis camp for 12-18 year olds will teach skills and drills in a fun, interactive format.

And if you’re feeling jealous… There’s an adults only holiday tennis camp on December 26 and 27!
